Heyy anyone got recommendations for a good bath thermometer for baby?

I remember a wee thing that looked like a bath toy that changed colour depending on the temperature, also a bath mat thingy, but nothing more sophisticated than that, is that the sort of thing or is it one that gives actual numbers that you are after?

No there are definitely ones out there that give you the water temperature, there are a few different makes that look like a duck but give you the actual temperature. I was just looking to see if anyone had used any before and had a recommendation. :)

I used a food one at the vv start, but elbow once I grasped how hot it was meant to be. You don't need a fancy thing that costs loads because it's labelled as "baby bath thermometer".

@Duesept2020 I bought a duck one on amazon and have been using it myself during pregnancy. As others have said I'm sure you could use your elbow but I seemed to get the temperature way off (seems baby's can have much warmer baths than I thought) and am the kind of person who likes the extra reassurance 😂. There are loads of different animal ones on there xxxxx

We have this one www.babymonitorsdirect.co.uk/product/philips-avent-baby-bath-room-thermometer-blue/. It’s a room thermometer as well. We didn’t think we needed one at first, but realised that the reason DD seemed to hate having a bath was because we were making it far too cold!

I had a great one from boots, cant remember what it was called but it was shaped like a flower and pale blue. It was fab, worked as a room thermometer and a bath one. Would highly reccomend.

Just had a Google it was a Phillip's avent one. They sell on Amazon in pale pink or blue

Don't know why people are being snarky. We have this one, got it on offer at John Lewis and it flashes red when the water is too hot

We had the tommee tippee star thermometer - wouldn't recommend it, it broke very quickly!!

We had the philips avent one, and I would advise against it.

We had it about 2.5 years, and it eventually was 7 degrees out (ie said temperature was 33 when it was 40!!). We googled and this is apparently a common issue.

Don’t get why other people are being weird about this 😒 DS is nearly 8 months now and I still use a thermometer for his bath.

We have this one - cheap and cheerful but does the job - flashes red when too hot and gives the temperature
