Because I'm finding it difficult to get enthusiastic about them, but we do need to get one (been using a drying stand since moving house in January, but now we have a garden).

So, 3 arm or 4? Vileda or brabantia or Homebase own brand? And how, exactly, does one sink them into the ground? Dh is diy-phobe, and mum's one is listing quite severely, so no help there...

Some of them are adjustable so you have a choice of two or three heights and yes that means the angle of the arms is slightly different. Do you have restricted space, is that why you are asking? Brabantia do a wall mounted half version if that would help.

I LOVE my branantia. We got the ground spike thing for it as well and had our builders cement it into the middle of the lawn so it wouldn't tilt. You can achieve the same end with a bit of sawn of scaffolding pole apparently.
