Saw a nice bra advertised online from Ann Summers. Thought I'll order that.
OMG. It's impossible! Every device I go on does not want me to go to the AS website. I have nothing installed on my phone that would block anything "adult". My work laptop and phone say "nudity - this site is banned"

I just want to buy a bra FFS!

Yet I get served ads for all kind of unsavoury things I don't want to see and no doubt could get on a porn site if I wanted to.

Not really an AIBU other than to think of this was actual porn it would be easier to access...

That's really frustrating! Have you tried disconnecting your WiFi on your phone and trying it with your data instead?

Yes. I have never seen so many different blocking messages in my life! Evil site must not be a woman and buy bras!

I think internet service providers block adult content by default now and it's something you have to manually switch off in your account settings. Ie. I'm with virgin so had to login to my virgin account and uncheck child protection to be able to access AS on my phone via Wi-Fi. Still don't know how to do it with o2 (mobile provider) but this is fine for now. So not a device setting but a service one if that makes sense.

Are you using Wi-Fi or 4G? If you’re using Wi-Fi then you need to check your settings on that, if it’s 4G then you’ll need to confirm you’re an adult with your network provider and ask them to let you view adult content on your phone.

Oh I love Ann Summers, they sell so much beautiful stuff at good prices. I actually had my party bags made up with their stuff for my hen night which raised a few smiles 😂.Check out LoveHoney as well. They are amazing, similar to Ann Summers. Sorry I'm getting off track, my husband has a work phone which blocks even looking at even Amazon. On my own phone I just went into settings and changed my age which blocked anything under 18. Sadly Ann Summers etc is still deemed a sex/porn site for reasons I don't feckin know. In Northern Ireland we are very old school and people actually complained when they had a new Ann Summers shop in the town so had to close down 😭. Good luck OP setting up your phone to allow you access to your newly soon to be purchased bra 😂

You have child lock settings on. Easy to log on to your provider and disable - but remember to put them back on after if you don;t want porn popping up with the wrong google search.

Try typing the website address in to the URL bar directly, annsummers.co.uk . Google won't let me search and find it, but typing the specific address in does take me to the site...

I had my child safety on my phone and tablet so took it off as I can't access say lingerie sites. I just went into my settings and changed it.
