It is hard to find a beach that is not really nice in Cornwall. I went there on family holidays as a child. You have got to watch the tides though.

I think in general north coast beaches are more typically big sandy bays with surf, south coast beaches more like rocky coves with more slate-y shillety sand, and often quieter seas. A big generalisation though.
These are Tregirls and Harlyn.

Nanjizal beach is fantastic. No facilities or nearby parking but you’ll get it all to yourself on many sunny summer days
But the jewel is Pedn Vounder near Treen. It’s a bit of a tricky descent but it’s paradise once you’re there.

My absolute favourite is Lantic Bay though.

Tregantle at Whitsand Bay. I walk there several times a week and it’s my absolute favourite in Cornwall. South coast so it’s warmer, miles of golden sand, peaceful, and some interesting pieces of shipwreck to be found.

If I was a holidaymaker / tourist though I’d probably go for one of the beaches mentioned above. There are no facilities at Whitsand Bay and you really need to know your tides to be safe.

Tregantle at Whitsands is local for us. Decent bodyboarding for S coast. Widemoutb near Bude is another favourite. We used to love Watergate but it’s too busy these days. There are so many gorgeous beaches it’s hard to go wrong really.

Why would you share such precious information ? I love my Cornwall beach and love that only a few families and dogs go to it , leaving it clean and unspoilt despite no bins. It's always spotless from litter and dog poo. You just take your rubbish home and everyone gets to enjoy it.

Perhaps our responses are red herrings to divert the OP to what are actually perfectly lovely beaches, but throw her off the scent of the hidden gems...

Haha!
Maybe. Unfortunately my lovely beach ( well borrowed for 2/3 weeks of the year) has been mentioned. Although I was delighted to see others share our love, I couldn’t help think NOOOOOOO.
