A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug-dealing after police uncovered crack cocaine, heroin and cash in a raid in Longsight.

Officers carried out a warrant on a house on Santley Street this morning (Thursday). They found the drugs inside the property during the search.

Police arrested the man at the house on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He is now in custody waiting to be interviewed.

The warrant was carried out by GMP's City of Manchester's Central Challenger Manchester team, with assistance from the xCalibre task force, police said. Anyone who has information about drug activity in their community is being urged to get in touch.

A post on the GMP Longsight Facebook page said: "#Arrest. A man was arrested this morning on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs after a warrant was executed in #Longsight, #Manchester. Detectives arrested the man at a property on Santley Street.

"The man is now in police custody, awaiting interview after what's believed to be crack cocaine, heroin and cash were located at the address. The warrant was executed by GMP's City of Manchester's Central Challenger Manchester team, with assistance from the xCalibre task force.
