A woman has been charged after an alleged stabbing in Salford. Police were called to Bickershaw Drive in Walkden following the incident at around 2.15am in the early hours of Saturday (July 6) with a cordon being put in place.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said a 48-year-old man had been stabbed. His injuries were not said to be life-threatening.

Today (Monday), the force confirmed a woman had now been charged in connection with the incident.

Victoria Owen, 40, of Sportside Avenue, Walkden, has been charged with Section 18 Assault. She was due to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court on Monday.
