As moms we've always known what would help us succeed at work, but here is some hard proof that companies benefit when they make their workplaces work for moms. Thanks Moms First for making this study happen! https://lnkd.in/g7-kSVqc
For too long we've treated child care as a personal issue that parents have to solve on their own instead of an economic issue that impacts our economy and businesses' bottom line. That ends today. Moms First teamed up with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to conduct a study of five U.S. companies and understand their ROI when investing in child care benefits. The data makes the case once and for all — child care pays for itself: ✅ Retaining as few as 1% of eligible employees can cover the cost of child care benefits. ✅ All 5 companies in the study — across industries, company size, and employee mix — saw a positive return on investment, up to 425%, when investing in child care benefits for their employees. ✅ Child care benefits can help individual employees avoid more than two weeks of absences annually, boosting employee productivity. ✅ 86% of respondents said they were more likely to stay with their employer because of their child care benefits, bolstering retention.
