Day one of the 2024 Georgia Heart & Vascular Symposium is a wrap! It was full of fascinating debates, lectures, exhibits and three live cases, including a structural heart case, a chronic total occlusion case and a robotic mitral valve repair. One of the highlights of the day was a patient testimonial in the EMS Session. Brad Ramsay is a cardiac arrest survivor who was able to share his story, thanks to the collaborative care of bystander CPR, first responders, our interventional cardiology and the cardiothoracic surgeons at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group. We're looking forward to day two!

"I was playing 3-on-3 basketball with a bunch of 14 to 15 year-olds. I don't know if we won or not but I do know I made an impression." Brad Ramsay, a camp volunteer, suffered a cardiac arrest while on the basketball court. Without the quick action from EMS first responders, interventional cardiologists at Georgia Heart Institute and the cardiothoracic surgery team at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group, Mr. Ramsay would not be here to tell his story.
