“Our nation’s Veterans pursued a noble calling and contributed honorable service in defense of the nation. Today’s ceremony allows their example to continue to inspire others even though they are not here to do so in person.” On Saturday, I was honored to give opening remarks at the Mount Erin Cemetery for Wreaths Across America’s annual wreath-laying event; my wife and I were invited to lay the ceremonial wreath. The event was hosted by American Legion Joseph L. Davis Post No. 47, Disabled American Veterans F McLhinney #15, and the City of Havre de Grace. Wreaths Across America is a non-profit organization focused on honoring veterans; its mission is to remember the fallen, honor those who serve and their families, and teach the next generation about the value of freedom. #WreathsAcrossAmerica
