“Sometimes we have to fly regardless of the weather. In December or January, it can be really, really cold, freezing even, but I choose to love my job in the freezing cold, rainy, winter weather as much as I choose to love my job when we are out in the desert in the summer heat. Why? Because if I don’t choose to love my job everyday my final product won’t be as good, and I don’t want that to ever happen.” Read more about Center Visual Information Specialist Jose Mejia-Betancourth and his work documenting and producing the essential visuals required for research and development, both on the ground and in the air: #WorkforceWednesday | #WeAreAvMC

“It is not just about picking a carpet. Interior designers understand a building, they understand the structure, a lot of it unseen. We understand how people interact with their environment and how design choices can impact human behavior. When you understand all that information, it helps you build a better space.” Read more about interior designer and DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center team member Ginger Winberry-Huffman, and her work transforming one of Redstone Arsenal’s historic buildings into a modern technological center: #WeAreAvMC | #MoreThanAJob | #WorkforceWednesday

#FromTheVault: “These are important senses: see, touch, smell and feel. The AIAD program allows them to ask questions that can help validate their decision about the undergraduate degree they’ve chosen. It’s the reason why this program exists.” Read more about the Center’s partnership with @WestPoint, #mentoring cadets in their degree choices: #ThrowbackThursday | #WeAreAvMC

Daniel Rose is a Moves and Installation Project Manager for the Center. In his daily role of personnel relocations which includes the scheduling and coordination of furniture installs, Daniel says, “my favorite part of the job is the customer service aspect. I enjoy being able to provide a solution or product as well as being hands-on.” While #Aviation and #Missile might be in the name, the Center – and the U.S. Army -- offers a wide breadth of job opportunities, and as Dr. Kirsch says, every member plays an integral part in the mission. #WorkforceWednesday | #WeAreAvMC
