Expanding Kaiser Permanente’s Coordinated, Connected, Care and Coverage in Washington

This morning I had the absolute pleasure of joining with our incredible care teams, community partners, and employees across the state to celebrate the launch of Kaiser Permanente’s new Washington region and the power of Kaiser Permanente’s integrated model of care that is both accessible and affordable.

Those of us who have experienced and witnessed the incredible health outcomes that result from receiving coordinated, connected care through Kaiser Permanente’s nationally acclaimed care delivery system, understand how excited I am to be part of the mission to expand access to care for all Washingtonians.

Our approach to care brings together doctors, nurses, and care teams in service to our members’ total health—in mind, body, and spirit—in order to keep them well and help them thrive. To achieve this, we are investing in our people, facilities, and interactive technologies in order to deliver even more personalized care and service. 

Soon you’ll begin to see an expanded presence in programs designed to improve the total health of the communities we serve. In 2015 alone, our organization provided $2.1 billion in community investments throughout our regions. As part of our growing presence in Washington, Kaiser Permanente will invest $800 million over the next decade to improve the health of people and communities throughout the state.

I am confident we will become the top choice for care and coverage in our region and continue to make a difference in the health and lives of those we serve. There will be no better place than Kaiser Permanente to receive the highest quality care, coordinated to maximize each individuals’ total health.
