Jack Monson and Brand J worked with many different franchises during the pandemic. The two major things Monson noticed about the businesses that successfully made it through the COVID-19 pandemic were: 1. They had already developed a digital platform that they could go fully remote with. 2. Or they pivoted to find new ways to service their customers beyond their brick and mortar. His key takeaway from this was that your business always needs something on the back burner for whatever crisis is going to come next. Business texting is a great tool to have for situations where your business needs to go remote or you can’t be in front of your customers, because people are already more inclined to text than call (and you know they’ll see your messages). What does your business do to stay prepared? #businesstexting #leadership #franchising #franchisemarketing

We stay prepared for anything, and I think being in southern Louisiana gave us a somewhat advantage because of the hurricane season we deal with regularly, so very often we find ourselves having to pivot to something new while either rebuilding or waiting for electricity to come back, and we constantly stay prepared which is easy with the advanced technology available to us, we can do our jobs from anywhere and our home base always has backups of backups.

very important to always keep a backup plan! You never know when you may have to pivot and change things up. Covid has shown us all that with great planning, you can succeed.

Always love getting to talk with Jack, and this conversation did not disappoint! Also love his career story. Unexpected, yet with a common thread.

Our industry allows a great mix of remote and on-site in the admin positions. We use Basecamp to stay informed and connected when not together in person.

I've always been a fan of the phrase, "Failure to plan is planning for failure."

The pandemic was a major change. Ended up going fully remote for those positions which allowed it.

Great Episode, having a backup plan will ensure you are always prepared
