This Pride Month we want to spotlight two of our LGBTQ+ employee resource groups (ERGs), Georgia Power Company's PRIDE Power and Southern Company Gas' Spectrum (GAS). The two ERGs united as one team in a recent community service project for CHRIS 180. The organization is Georgia's first and largest nonprofit organization that openly celebrates and serves LGBTQ+ youth. Some news we’re simply pining to share! 🌲 Today NFWF and partners announced a record-breaking $33.5 million in conservation grants from the Longleaf Landscape Stewardship Fund to safeguard some of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. These grants will help restore and protect longleaf pine habitats, supporting wildlife and the communities that depend on thriving forests. Thanks to the incredible support from the Bezos Earth Fund and other key partners, these grants will contribute to the America's Longleaf Restoration Initiative's goal to restore 8 million acres of this precious ecosystem, benefiting species like the gopher tortoise, red-cockaded woodpecker and eastern indigo snake.
