When employees are happy, they can be 13% more productive. But nowadays most employees aren't happy. They're stressed, burnt out, and digitally overwhelmed. 🚫 Because companies often think the solution to their problems is to introduce new technologies to their team. And before you know it, you have an overgrown tech stack and an overcomplicated process ... Employees either 1️⃣ begin to resist technological change or 2️⃣ feel threatened that automation and AI will replace their jobs. Neil Clover, Chief Technology Officer at SDI recently reminded me that despite all these technological advancements, supply chain is still about **people.** Neil told me, "We have to think of technology as just another tool. When forklifts were introduced, they didn’t replace the people – they augmented the people… There are a lot of repetitive things that machines are built for, but people are the glue, the purpose."
