Update from Scotland. Hard to believe we have been here for two weeks! I have such an amazing group of Samford University Cumberland School of Law students in my class, which has made this such a great teaching experience. We hold classes from 8 am to 12 pm, which leaves time to explore and get some work done in the afternoon. Malone and I took a trip with some friends to Loch Lomond last weekend. Scotland is such a beautiful country. Everyone has been incredibly kind to us. I have one more week of class next week and then a short break before our CLE program. Looking forward to more exploring. The biggest adjustment for us has been the effect of 10-10:30 pm sunsets on our sleep schedule. Oh and having a washing machine and no dryer. Getting back to my old roots of hanging clothes.
Sara - I bet they don't even think you have an accent! (since theirs sounds like they rocks in their mouths). Life travels for your girl - an invaluable perspective! Keep sharing.
What an amazing trip! How wonderful for you ! Hanging clothes---the kind of thing that reminds you of humility---how little you need to shoot for success....
I am enjoying watching your adventure.
That 10:30 sunset is a whole new experience! Enjoy & take lots of pictures!!
Beautiful country! On my bucket list of places to go
My daughter is there...safe travels!
Wow! What an experience?
Wow! That is such an awesome experience.
What a great experience for everyone!
Kindness matters.
3wI LOVE Scotland. I think I left a piece of myself there when I visited. 💙 [Edited to add: about the washer/dryer — sometimes they are all one unit and it can be set to dry after washing, but also many of the places there have towel warmers, and sometimes we would hang things on them, as long as they went through spin cycle lol]
