My 25-minute morning routine: 💥 A lot of us have morning routines, and for me, starting my day with a structured sequence of activities is crucial for diving into my tasks with intention and effectiveness. Here’s a look at some of the elements I always try to incorporate: ➡️Mindful breathing and meditation to settle my mind. ➡️Slow flow movements to get the blood flowing. ➡️Stepping into the cold plunge, embracing the challenge and energizing my body. ➡️Doing something highly uncomfortable and highly challenging right out of the gate in my morning. ➡️Hot shower to warm back up. ➡️Enjoying a moment with my coffee. Ever experienced a big “throw the hat over the fence moment”? ⬇️ For Plunge, it was the CrossFit Games in July 2021. Our company was 10 months old, and we shipped 10 units to the event. Our entire team went too. We had no idea what would come from it, and we never would have guessed it would be our gateway to something as big as Shark Tank. But they emailed us at the Games and asked if we'd be interested in coming on the show. As unexpected as the invitation was, it validated our marketing and visibility. Each unit installation extended Plunge's influence far beyond simple product placement. So remember: don’t underestimate the power of authentic connections and showing up with a great product time and time again. I loved some of the things Bryan Elliott wrote in the recent Inc. It is the unlock to what feels like a superpower. It clears my mind because I literally cannot feel anxious, frustrated or tired when I'm sitting in a tub of cold water. All I can do is go into a focused state to tell my body, ‘it's okay, you're not going to freeze...the water is only 45 degrees...you can do this...just 2 minutes and you're going to feel amazing.’ Spoiler alert: You're never going to feel like it. Apply this advice across the board to other mundane or difficult things you must do in life: Consistently eating healthy food; Waking up at 3:00 am to feed your new baby; Going to a tough job that keeps a roof over your family's head; Training to achieve a goal worth getting. This is life.” Bryan totally gets it. 

Something we’ve seen over and over again at Plunge: 👉Everyone has a stressful life. What lights us up most when it comes to the benefits of cold plunging is the mental health side of things. This is where every single one of us comes in because of that stress we all experience. The improvements to mental health is what we see most in product reviews. One big lesson I learned from my dad: how to hustle. My dad was a very successful salesman. He worked the same job his entire adult job. But amidst that steady, stable job, he had side hustles, even back in the early 90s. He sold Beanie Babies and sports memorabilia, and I'd go with him to flea markets on Sundays. I grew up watching that and learning from that, and I truly believe it helped shape my drive and passion for entrepreneurism, hustling, and always striving for more.
