What does this outfit make you think of. Golf ideally, don't mind the shoes. I am excited about the Ohio Adult-Use (AU) program. They are seeming logical in their approach to allow medical store owners to apply for dual-use licenses to allow them to sell AU as well. They have a population that already uses medical cannabis which is a great starting point to bring in more AU consumers. OH is centrally located for once multi state commerce opens up. It is still a 2-3 year roll out phase but should move faster then most. New Market Activity Announcement!!! My teammate Dave Woodbeck and I will be swinging the sticks down in Ohio this week. The Ohio Classic is a great event put on by James Keyes. He is not only bringing us industry professionals together but also supporting brain research. Ohio is exciting to me personally for 2 reasons. First it is the home to some of my favorite hip hop artists of all time. Shout out Kid Cudi and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Second I think it will be a very #strong cannabis market putting up numbers similar to MI. The data doesn't lie We are excited to see some familiar faces in Andrea Doyle, Travis Copenhaver, Jack Grover and Ben York. But always looking to meet other like minded professionals. This just made my day Seth Yakatan. I have made many a mistake in my life YTD. But using my skills to serve the growing cannabis industry is not one of them. Next to who I marry this will probably prove to be the best decision I make in this life.

Business success is not mysterious. If it was there would not be so many business operators who have built #multiple #profitable #businesses during their careers. And each industry and vertical has giants and tiny businesses doing the same exact thing. Business get bigger because they are better. Not because they got lucky. If the business entered a growing market, with a solid team and raised capital that is called strategy not luck. And if they maintained that business via meticulous financial management, that is not "something only big business does"... that is discipline. It always comes back to the numbers. The culture of the business, the operating of the business. Everything can be tied back to the financial statements each month.

Last day of Cannabis Europa. "We can not fear what we understand" - someone smarter then me. After speaking with more and more people in the #global cannabis industry it is not so scary anymore. The mechanics are very similar country to country. Starting a medical cannabis company still just comes down to Licenses issued from government + Raising Capital Required + Securing Real Estate... same as in the states. So whether we are Americans Operators trying to break into EU market, or EU Operators trying to break into the American Market it is more similar then different. Global Cannabis Network Collective had a great dinner yesterday. Appreciate the invite Chris Day and Jill Reddish. Was able to speak with a medical cannabis company owner/operator from Columbia and Morocco. Spoke with wholesale distributors from UK with the licenses to import cannabis. Languages and locations are different but the business models are the same. Has been a great learning experience. Happy to see what today brings Again yesterday I learned medical cannabis companies in EU still need a License + Real Estate + Capital to start and operate their cannabis companies.... same as in the states. And the medical cannabis companies who only have 2/3 from above get beat by the medical cannabis companies who have 3/3... same as in the states. Started the day off with a proper English Breakfast. I believe the Prohibition Partners are the ones who brought us all together. So big thanks to them. And their news letter is legit. The EU market has it's nuances. But at the end of the day we are operating under a government issued license. Be it medical or adult use or hemp or something in between. And we are cultivating a plant and processing/manufacturing it into finished products we either wholesale or retail to end customers. Hurdles for private #cannabis #companies to getting started is usually the Capital needed to secure the Licenses and Real Estate. As the #cfo we are involved in the cap ex and op ex needed to start and scale the company. So this is a game that feels familiar to us. But we do not take our knowledge for granted. So always humble enough to keep learning from those boots on the ground in these new markets. I met with some EU cannabis professionals last week from the UK and Germany respectively. They are on the business development and capital side. Both have been in the industry for over 5 years so have seen the USA and EU markets development I found a few things interesting from our meetings. 1) They deferientiat between hemp and cannabis. but not as aggressively as in the states. 2) It is a medical market with a handful of legit Pubcos but the rest are privately held companies with small ownership groups. Same as in the states. 3) The majority of medical cannabis companies are actively planning to take advantage of Adult use. Same as in the states. So yes the cost to be #compliant in EU #cannabis industry is higher than in the USA. But there's still profitable companies Cultivating, Processing/Manufacturing, Distributing and Selling cannabis to end users of the products. They legalize at the federal level and as such don't have ridiculous tax laws such as 280E. So I am interested to see how EU cannabis industry will develop given the lessons it can learn from the states. Germany is 2x larger then California for perspective. So these markets will take 2-3 years to develop but they can kot be ignored given their populations. Will be attending Cannabis Europa this week to see what we can learn. And winning teams will be the ones able to raise and manage their capital. Same as in the states. So our interest is CFO services with a focus on raising capital.
