"Designing connection", there you have it! Yes ma'am, Priya Parker. Clear as a bell. And when that connection happens, all the work, thinking, exploring, experimenting that went into it is worth it. Connection is what takes the world and its people healthily into the future. (Emili Giralt Guarro (He/Him) - designing for connection - collaboration - co-creation. That's what we do!)

I have visited some great spaces that do just that. They create the conditions for connection, the often overlooked ingredient of well-designed environments.

I think connection does happen on its own, BUT at a rate of roughly 20x slower than well designed thoughtful and intentional connection. And I wouldn’t recommend taking 20 hours to accomplish something that could be done in 1 😃

YES 👏 Connection in gatherings is a product of design, not proximity. Design requires intention and purpose, proximity does not. So when we center design, the possibilities are endless no matter the setting. Thank you for the amazing insights and actionable recommendations, Priya Parker!
