Today 10 years ago, I walked into the Facebook office for the very first time, my heart full of anticipation. The warmth and kindness with which my co-workers greeted me touched me deeply. From the outset, I was plunged into exciting projects, feeling a whirlwind of emotions—overwhelmed yet incredibly happy. Little did I know when I started my journey of joy, challenges, and immense learning. I am profoundly grateful to all my colleagues from across the globe, many of whom have turned into close friends. Together, we’ll outfit selected flights for customers of the new Lufthansa Allegris Business Class Suite with a variety of custom, dedicated MR content spanning entertainment, travel, wellness, games, and more—all designed to run on Quest 3 in Travel Mode. Meta Business Partner MSM.digital will create content and provide device setup, distribution, management, and technical support, in close collaboration with Meta and Lufthansa. This is a watershed moment for the broader industry: the first time an airline will offer access to Quest 3 headsets in a commercial in-flight setting.

OMR 2024 is in the books!
The recent OMR Festival has been an extraordinary experience, setting a new benchmark in the industry. This year's OMR surpassed expectations with its exceptional visitor experience, captivating side events, and inspiring stage content.
One of the standout moments of the event was an inspiring talk by Germany's Vice Chancellor, Robert Habeck. His message was both powerful and timely, emphasizing our collective responsibility to safeguard our freedom and peace. As with every year, the event provided a wealth of insights into the state of the German internet. Particularly noteworthy was Roland Eisenbrand introduction of the 4C's for #Marketing in AI. Bei unseren 2 House of Reels Events in Berlin und München im März ging es um Zahlen, Fakten und Best Practices für alle Marketers da draussen - wie der Name bereits verrät zum Thema Reels! Meine Kolleg*innen aus den unterschiedlichsten Abteilungen haben Marketern gemeinsam mit BayerAboutYouMawaveRed Bull und vielen mehr IHRE Geheimrezepte verraten.
*Key-Facts:*
- Es geht IMMER um die Idee! Wenn du diese nicht in einem Satz Freunden & Familie erklären kannst, und sie zu viele Nachfragen haben, ist sie für ein Reel noch nicht ausgereift.
- Red Bull verbringt fast 90% der Zeit damit, die Hook für ein Reel zu gestalten (denn mit 1.7 Sekunden Aufmerksamkeitsspanne bleibt nicht viel Zeit, Leute zum Weiterschauen zu catchen)
- Ganz ohne Briefings geht's nicht, aber @tricksmitrick hat Recht: vertraut Creatorn. Immer noch erleben wir, wie Creator*innen als reine Werbeplakate statt Persönlichkeiten gesehen werden. Brands buchen Individuen, traut euch diese zu zeigen, um die Marke somit emotional aufladen zu können.
- Marketers sollten Reels Ads nicht unterschätzen, denn es gibt drei Arten von Käufer*innen die unterschiedlich angesprochen werden sollten:
1) Diejenigen, die gezielt nach dem Produkt suchen, es sehen und sich dafür entscheiden
2) Diejenigen, die nicht wissen, dass sie es eventuell brauchen, sich beim Ansehen aber dafür entscheiden
3) Diejenigen, die sich gar nicht für das Produkt entscheiden, aber sich daran erinnern werden, diese Ad gesehen zu haben und eventuell zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt für das Produkt entscheiden.

Threads is now also available in Europe!Today at noon we rolled out our text-based app Threads in all European countries. Here is the most important thing to know about Threads:
- A post can be up to 500 characters long and include links, photos, voice messages and videos that are up to 5 minutes long.
- To use Threads, you can simply use your Instagram account as a login and customize it for Threads.
- Posts from Threads can be shared in your own Instagram story or via a link on another platform with just a few clicks.
- Even without your own profile, you can view posts on Threads, search for accounts and get inspired by the conversations. Only for interaction with posts requires a separate profile.
