Just minutes ago, Nvidia leapfrogged Apple & Microsoft to become the world's most valuable company with a $3.32Tr market cap. This image showing Nvidias 262% year-on-year growth, shows some of the stats behind the story driven by demand for its chips and an investor frenzy over artificial intelligence. The AI race started in the 1950's but now things are really hotting up. Hold on to your hats folks.... If you think things are disruptive right now, this is probably nothing compared to what will happen as we approach AGI. (Somewhere between 2028-2029?) ⬇️ "Things take longer to happen than you think they will, and then they happen faster than you thought they could." Rudi Dornbusch 📈
Yep - totally agree Jeremy, this is just the start of crazy valuations …
I can't pretend to understand all of this ...as I am only just catching my breath following the advent of ChatGPT etc. So... hearing that there's more on the way to disrupt and blow my brain? wow! Hard to imagine what an AGI system (artificial general intelligence) will be able to solve in the future. Even Scarier imagining that a machine might act like a human being? without manual intervention? Mankind (Womankind) have to get the right ethics in place to cushion us from the impact of poor mental and emotional health. Thanks Jeremy Connell-Waite
About 10% of the 10-Year trailing average of Total Market Captalization of all US Public Companies listed in the NYSE, NASDAQ and the OTCQX combined. This must be a record. Crazy concentration of market expectation of future returns.
I don't think we can comprehend how different work and life is going to get. Things might just get weird 😁
The pace of change has never been this fast.... And it will never be this slow again...
The things we give value to.... good time to invest in renewable energy, I think 😉
Just checked my portfolio, and my lockdown purchases 😳
The AI race is heating up 🙌
The pace of change is what really interests me Jeremy, as you say the AI race started more than 50 years ago, but we now seem to be entering an ‘exponential’ level of innovation/growth in this field.
