🌍 AfricaFertilizer has supported the Innovation Lab for Policy Leadership in #Agriculture 🌾 and Security (#PiLAF), sponsored by the #SustainAfrica initiative, to hold its first #stakeholders’ group discussions on how to domesticate the roadmap on #Fertilizer and #SoilHealth for #WestAfrica and the #Sahel. The West Africa 🌍 region-specific roadmap was produced through a series of consultative meetings, led by the Economic Community of West African States (#ECOWAS), with #private and #publicsector actors of the fertilizer industry and #developmentpartners across West Africa and the 🏜 Sahel. It was developed within the framework of the #AfricanUnion’s action plan for Africa on fertilizer and soil health, and derives 12 priority actions for the region to improve 🌱 #soilfertility and health to increase 🌾 #cropproductivity and increase 🥗 #foodsecurity.
