Global Chief Operating Officer of Engineering at Goldman Sachs and Country Head of Goldman Sachs Services India
Goldman Sachs research expects Generative AI to have significant economic potential, with a 10-15% cumulative long-run boost to GDP globally, over a ten year period. As the pace of change accelerates with AI, our collective focus on staying ahead of the curve and investing in the skills of the future continues to be pivotal, and academia is at the center of this. It was fantastic to be at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi to inaugurate their Annual Career Festival. The event provided an opportunity to engage with faculty, researchers and students on the topic of Generative AI, its implications on technology, markets and regulations, and the role of India. A special thanks to the Director of IIT Delhi, Prof. Rangan Banerjee, and Dean (Academics) Prof. Narayana Kuru and the faculty for having me.
Gunjan Samtani - good to see this thrust on Gen AI given the tremendous explosion in data (from traditional datcentric to the outside, edge experience world)!!!. Gen AI currently led by "Conversational AI" will democratize access to data by simplifying how one can get to it!!! Good to see this thought leadership on this leading edge revolution 👍
Gunjan..great to see you evangelise Gen AI. India has huge scope to make a global impact if we invest, ahead of the curve, in our talent & compute infra.
It is pleasure to see you contributing so much to technological world! Keep it up! Proud of you
Nice thoughts sir.
This is wonderful!
Gunjan Samtani Inspiring 💯

3moFeels great to see Industry Academia collaborations with the best of Fintech reaching out to the best tech minds in the country. Gunjan Samtani although I do agree on the 10-15% growth figures from Gen AI capabilities growing. But I feel the real paradigm change will come from the super intelligence arena. Every Industry right now feeding its prop data to one of its own super AI for a very specific outcome. And although Open AI is Closed AI now ( :) pun indented) but it has inspired a lot of large organizations to significant focus on AI. My guess is, if only One idea succeeds every Industry there will be a whole gamut of super AIs doing un-believable stuff across the board. The kind of stuff I have herad from aviation/manufacturing to pharma/ biotics is much much cooler than what the fintechs are trying. So defiantly some exciting times ahead!!
