At GDS, each month, we hold our Speaker Series & Show The Thing. These are talks from inspiring individuals across digital, data and tech and exciting showcases and updates from teams across GDS. These sessions give everyone at GDS the opportunity to learn from others and build their expertise.
This month, here’s 5 sessions we learned from:
1️⃣ Gulsanna Mamediieva, CEO of Digitality GovTech, showed us the incredible work that has gone into Ukraine’s Diia app, used by 20 million Ukrainians. As advocates of more proactive, personalised and joined-up digital government enabled by app technology, it was great to see work by other leading digital nations.
2️⃣ Adam Robertson shared interesting work we’ve been progressing with GOV.UK Forms including testing with neurodivergent users.
3️⃣ Catriona Fraser showcased the work GDS has been doing to enhance GOV.UK site search to help users find more relevant information.
4️⃣ Patrick Berkeley shared important plans of our new Engineering Enablement team to help ensure we are managing our tools in an integrated, efficient way that supports colleagues..
5️⃣ Owen Jones, Matt Hill and Rebecca Cottrell highlighted work to ensure GOV.UK typography is accessible to as many users as possible and scales well to screen size.
