Chief Digital and Information Officer at American Airlines

Last week, American Airlines IT team celebrated a major win to modernize a key aspect of our airline’s technology stack. After five years of hard work by more than 300 team members from across IT and the business, we officially completed the transition of nearly 400 applications from mainframe servers to a new cloud solution. Not only will this new solution streamline how our organizational data is processed and stored, it also supports our focus on building a technology infrastructure that’s resilient – one that our customers and team members can count on. I am so proud of this team and look forward to continuing to reimagine solutions that deliver value. Congratulations to all who contributed to milestone.

Helping companies worldwide build their AI vision applications with Viso Suite

Congratulations Ganesh Jayaram - It would be great to speak with you at some point about the impact AI Vision could have at American Airlines. At Viso, we're working with a whole host of Aviation companies, helping them calculate dwell time of vehicles, measure occupancy of boarding gates and airline lounges, detect defects, monitor PPE compliance of ground staff and more. Is this something you and the team will be looking at in the near future?
