It’s not every day when one of your favorite former clients, whom you’re an avid customer of, invites you to play a role in their leadership and cultural journey, thus becoming your client again. 😉 What a privilege to be the keynote speaker for American Airlines Power of Inclusion: I BELONG series, this month celebrating Asian American Pacific Islanders. ✈️ Honored that over 500 people chose to join us this morning at their beautiful training facility in Fort Worth. I had an opportunity to share my origin story including the foundational lessons learned from my immigrant parents. 🌎 These lessons, like so many along the way, have served to shape my approach to making a difference while serving others. A huge congratulations to the #AATeam that was recognized at the Aviation Week Network’s Laureate Awards (#AWLAUR) for our cutting-edge Hub Efficiency Analytics Tool (HEAT)! 🥇 👏   I could go on and on about HEAT… our team introduced this technology in 2022 at many of our key hubs. It collects data from numerous sources, so our operation is much more efficient and smart in preparing for and during severe weather or other irregular operations events. Did I mention it’s allowed us to prevent thousands of cancellations since it was first brought on board? It’s forward-thinking, and without a doubt, ensures we’re taking care of our customers. Thanks to #AviationWeek for the recognition and a shoutout to Universal Hydrogen who was also recognized with a Grand Laureate for their hydrogen-electric-powered aircraft.   My appreciation to the countless team members across the airline who developed and are using HEAT to help us run a safe and reliable operation for our customers! We held our 2024 Investor Day today at the Nasdaq building in New York where the team highlighted how we’re delivering on our commitments and outlined our long-term strategy. I’m incredibly proud of the work the #AATeam has done over the past two years to build American Airlines to be stronger, more focused and well-positioned to realize our full potential. We’re confident in where we are going and the value we are creating.
