This past year, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Christine Sacco-Bene and Paige Mandas on exploring an important, but infrequently discussed area of clinical supervision. After more than a year in the making, I'm excited to share that our chapter has been published in the textbook "Facilitating Social Justice, Service Delivery, and Advocacy Through Multicultural Counseling Competencies." Washington Group Questions give detailed information on PWDs involvement rather than the conventional and dichotomous way of asking "Are you disabled?" Excited to announce that I have completed the 'Introduction to Washington Group Questions' online course by VSO through Humanitarian Leadership Academy. Aggregated data can mask inequalities, but the WGQ tool offers a more nuanced understanding of disability by providing detailed information on prevalence rates and domains of difficulty in daily life. This data is crucial for informed decision-making and resource allocation. #Disability #Washingtongroupquestions

Many #websites, #applications and #online platforms are not designed with proper accessibility features, making it difficult for children with #disabilities to access and engage with #digital content. Lack of captions, alternative text for #images, keyboard accessibility and compatibility with assistive #technologies can create significant barriers. Children with disabilities may not receive adequate training and support in developing digital #skills. This can hinder their ability to effectively use digital tools, software applications and assistive technologies, limiting their participation in online #activities. #Inclusion #children #disability #knowledge
