Bad hiring happens, what ruins a team is a slow firing when that bad hiring happens.

Not agree. Bad hiring may happen that is part and parcel of our corporate practices. We need two things to achieve.. 1. Ensure that organization have clear process of recruitment, hiring, induction & immersion plan to avoid bad hiring. 2. Existing team performance assessment to be monitored regularly. In today's corporate culture, we are more open to help each other to help the organization.

Athumani Kenyata am sure you have something to say

I call bullshit! If you have a team of soft snow flakes yes they crumble. If you have grown adults its gonna be just fine.

Hiring a significant other, for example, could be a bad move. It creates bias, less focus, and reliability goes down. I’ve seen this in many environments. However, a bad apple shouldn’t spoil the bunch, unless there’s a problem with the system. More likely, there’s a problem with who does the hiring.

It can be true if the entire team mates are not strong enough to support. But if the entire team mates are strong then one cannot make others fall. There's a saying goes: "TWO HEADS IS BETTER THAN ONE" That's it!

At the same time when you have 7 bad hires, adding one is not so bad.....
