So true. But politics is almost always everywhere. Sometimes you get the job because of who you know, not what you know. Sometimes the talker and more visible employee flourishes, while the silent, timid doer stays in his/her corner. Work politics demoralizes and kills one’s motivation to better one’s job, eventually fading away from company vision. Still politics continues… To feel sad about this is an understatement.

I can not agree more! The best people leave weak companies if they can not speak out. Ideas or speak up!

In companies where politics dominate, progress is often hindered. However, in strong companies, it's the merit of ideas that drives success and innovation."

Do what is right, not what is easy nor what is popular.

Very true. When you focus on politics, you loose the purpose/sense of why you came to do this job in the first place. You loose YOUR track. BE STRONG and FOCUS ON IDEAS and don’t allow toxic environment to overtake. FORWARD THINKING will lead you and the team you work with to make progress.

Steve Jobs' insight highlights a crucial distinction in organizational culture. In weak companies, political maneuvering often overshadows genuine progress, leading to inefficiency and stagnation. However, in strong companies, it's the power of ideas that drives success. By fostering an environment where creativity and innovation are valued, we can ensure that great ideas flourish. This requires trust, compassion, and a shared passion for excellence. Let’s champion a culture where ideas win, empowering every team member to contribute their best. By prioritizing innovation over politics, we build stronger, more resilient organizations that inspire and achieve greatness.

All companies are doing politics, either they will win or not win according to their company rules and regulations.

I’ve seen the truth in this many times over the years. Sage wisdom.

100%, bureaucracy often trumps the best ideas in large corporations. However, those companies that might be deemed as weak, may still have a powerful statue, but they are never cutting edge or the most secured.

If you have resources to realize and deliver them. Wishful thinking otherwise. 😀
