Karma is simply cause and effect. For every action there is a reaction. I see it as a cumulative event often driven by personal traits/choices. It can manifest in different ways but will always come home to roost as is often said in the vernacular. I don't think it as religious or fate but more as the verdict from the pelothera of choices/decisions. Adopting a strategy of empathy or sensitivity to all one encounters which can be found in many religious factions can provide comfort that you command your karmic results. Be nice and the rest will follow.
Yes, I agree. I think the universe tends to even the playing field, but even if it doesn't, it feels better to do "good"
Circular cause & effect is essential to the systemic thinking where we focus on the whole. This complements systematic thinking relying on linear cause & effect thinking where we concentrate on parts. A very important and usually missing word in systemic thinking is indeed "delay" which is essential to capturing understanding of whole and the consequences of behavior. To me systemic thinking is the missing link between systematic and para systemic or dialogic thinking which is appropriate to better understand and enjoy adapting to complexities & not necessarily conforming to it. There is a need to better understand the role of strange attractors to enjoy using para systemic language to play in infinity games that have bounderis yet no limits. Wise leaders & intelligent managers leave their seat at an appropriate time to help their successors elevate the circle to a spiral by understanding the impact of the delay on their choices and decisions to enjoy sustainability. It is possible though not that much probable in an imbalanced context if they believe in living together and not just surviving or worse, dying together! #shegoftar
Curious, I've had a difficult time understanding suffering of children. I guess I didn't want to victim blame. So saying a child did something in a previous live to "deserve" abuse doesn't line up for me. I think sometimes bad stuff happens to us , and we're not responsible for that kind of behavior.

I do agree with the quote from the Bible in Galatians 6:7 ".....For whatever a person is sowing, this he will also reap;" This Bible verse goes along the common saying, "what goes around, comes around". Most of the time, we have to face the challanges, outcomes, and/or consequences that come with some of our decisions, actions, or mistakes made. It will affect you or others in some way or another. However, we can learn from our bad decisions, actions, or mistakes, and try not to repeat them.
