Before you talk to an Angel Investor this holiday weekend, think about this situation: Far too often we speak with founders who say they need X amount of money, and when we ask/ what are you willing to give up for that amount of money, the founder’s answer is: Whatever the investor would want for it I guess... Oy! This is YOUR business. You need to have some terms you're willing to negotiate with. A smart fund will always have its terms outlined so that it can discuss with an investor what that partnership will look like. Do NOT put all the power onto the investor to determine what they'll take.
