Canceled projects, supply chain and permitting are just a few hurdles adding to the complexity for NV Energy moving towards a more verdant reliable grid. With a 50% RPS goal by 2030, clear communication and collaboration is key. #Greenlink, #Energytransition #collaboration #BLM

Truly inspiring work being done at Idaho National Laboratory, but more inspiring is the enthusiasm, dedication and expertise that each member of the INL team posses and shared with us! Energy Security is National Security and INL is bringing this mission to fruition. #energytransition, #transmission, #generationdiversty
Recently, some of our team visited our friends and partners at Idaho National Laboratory (INL)! With over 6,000 dedicated scientists, engineers, and support staff, INL leads the way in advancing research and development to secure our nation’s critical infrastructure and future energy needs. Our tour included several key facilities, including the Advanced Test Reactor, Central Facilities Area, Critical Infrastructure Test Range Complex, Materials and Fuels Complex, and Energy Systems Laboratory. It was incredible to witness the diverse research activities, from laboratory scale to full-scale operations. We're excited about the potential opportunities with INL, and we'd like to thank everyone who made this trip a success! 📸: Keith H., Claire Rutkowski, Adam Dice, Gretchen Cividini, Ryan McMurtrey, Gerry Murray, P.E., Chris Kasiewicz, P.E., Katie Hazlett, Keith Pemrick

Listening to Vincent Sorgi, CEO of PPL Corporation at Platts discuss the complexity of decarbonizing the grid in the face of rising demand in the PJM. The degrees of freedom in this equation are many and the only way to succeed is through collaboration. #renewables, #decarbonizaton, #naturalgas, #energypolicy, #efficiency

2moAgree. Adding to the hurdles is rapid load growth in Reno area. No wonder one of the conference speakers said what made utilities successful in the past one hundred years will not guarante success in the next ten.
