Happy to have Dominique Watson, PE on our team! Do you enjoy working on challenging projects with great people while mentoring the next generation of engineers? Check out our careers page! http:///www.powereng.com/careers/ #OnePOWER,#EnergyTransition
We're excited to bring back POWER Spotlights, featuring Dominique Watson, PE, who has been a crucial part of our team for nearly five years! Initially joining us as an Electrical Engineer, Dominique has since become a Project Engineer and Area Lead for POWER Delivery's Renewables Department. Dominique's journey with POWER began when he caught up with a college friend who worked here. Inspired by his friend's passion for his work and love of his team, he applied and has been with us ever since. Dominique credits the supportive company culture for his growth as an engineer. He values the mentorship and guidance he received and is excited to pay it forward by mentoring new engineers and colleagues. "Mentoring others is my way of giving back. I had incredible support from leadership when I started, and now I strive to be that support for others," Dominique says. Dominique's technical expertise and nearly ten years of engineering experience make him a vital asset to our team and clients. His skills were particularly crucial when he was tasked with developing custom logic for a short-notice breaker relay project, starting from scratch due to the client's lead engineer's sudden departure. "What made this project unique was the chance to build everything from the ground up. Typically, we follow standard criteria and design ideas from clients, but we had the opportunity to create new design drawings and set up relay settings entirely from scratch. Watching it all come together was incredibly rewarding." Dominique loves the unpredictability of engineering, the constant problem-solving, and the dynamic nature of his work, ensuring there's never a dull moment.

Truly inspiring work being done at Idaho National Laboratory, but more inspiring is the enthusiasm, dedication and expertise that each member of the INL team posses and shared with us! Energy Security is National Security and INL is bringing this mission to fruition. #energytransition, #transmission, #generationdiversty
Recently, some of our team visited our friends and partners at Idaho National Laboratory (INL)! With over 6,000 dedicated scientists, engineers, and support staff, INL leads the way in advancing research and development to secure our nation’s critical infrastructure and future energy needs. Our tour included several key facilities, including the Advanced Test Reactor, Central Facilities Area, Critical Infrastructure Test Range Complex, Materials and Fuels Complex, and Energy Systems Laboratory. It was incredible to witness the diverse research activities, from laboratory scale to full-scale operations. We're excited about the potential opportunities with INL, and we'd like to thank everyone who made this trip a success! 📸: Keith H., Claire Rutkowski, Adam Dice, Gretchen Cividini, Ryan McMurtrey, Gerry Murray, P.E., Chris Kasiewicz, P.E., Katie Hazlett, Keith Pemrick
