Head of Banking at Thrivent and Proposed President of Thrivent Bank (In Formation)

In my experience, client-centricity is something so many companies want to achieve but is rare to find authentically, and when you do see it in action, it’s incredibly inspiring. This story of our one millionth Thrivent Action Team is a great example. I’m proud to be part of an organization that keeps clients and communities at the heart of all we do, and excited to deliver that same client-centricity through banking at #Thrivent. Today, I’m celebrating the one million instances of client-inspired generosity we’ve empowered through the Thrivent Action Teams over the last 10 years.

President & CEO at Thrivent

Last month, I called Donna Aufdenberg to let her know that she was the client leading our one millionth Thrivent Action Team. Donna is a horticulturist who uses tools and resources from Thrivent to provide seedlings to community gardens, who then provide fresh food to people in need who don’t have access. Through clients like Donna and Thrivent Action Teams, we’ve raised over $1 billion, supported 9.3 million people to volunteer 93 million hours, and provided 13 million Live Generously t-shirts to support a million community projects. We introduced Thrivent Action Teams in 2014 after learning about the barriers of funding and organizing volunteer projects – and now provide our clients with the tools, resources and funding they need. I’m inspired by Donna’s service, and proud that Thrivent helps our clients make the most of all they’ve been given so they can lead lives of meaning and gratitude. #livegenerously #thriventactionteams #nationalvolunteerweek
