We are thrilled to announce our new CEO of Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Sam Davidson! When discussing the search, Janet Miller, our Board Chair, expressed her excitement, saying, "Being an exited entrepreneur … and somebody who's really got operational maturity, plus that idea-generating spark? Sam just seemed like the perfect marriage." Sam will be stepping into the shoes of former CEO Jane Allen, who has made a lasting impact on our organization and the entrepreneurial community we serve. UPDATE: NASHVILLE ENTREPRENEUR CENTER is searching for both a president/COO to succeed out-bound John Murdock, as well as for an Operations director. Murdock announced he'll resign his EC post to become VP for strategic planning for Shore Capital Partners, expanding in Music City. EC CEO Jane Allen joined in singing John's praises, then laid out invitation to all interest candidates to apply for President/COO job, as well as supporting Ops Director job. Yesterday, Metro Council passed a resolution to turn a building on Fisk University's campus into an innovation and business incubation center. One of our board members, Darrell Freeman, is spearheading the project, and is bringing the EC to support and advise. Our Board Chair Emeritus, Beth Chase, our COO, John Murdock, and our VP of Diversity, Equity & Community, Brynn Plummer all got to be on site today to see Mayor John Cooper sign the resolution and to tour the building. We look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses.
