Today marks 23 years since Eric Hunter joined our team at Networking Solutions, Inc. When I hired Eric, I knew I was bringing on a hard working kid, raised in a family that believed putting in a hard day of work is just expected. 🙌 What I couldn't have predicted was gaining a trusted colleague, friend, and integral part of our company's DNA. Over these two decades, we've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and unfortunately a few funerals. I especially have enjoyed him watching my kids grow up and now I get to watch his kids grow up. Eric has been there with me and I with him through every milestone, both personal and professional. In a world where job-hopping is common, the value of a long-term, dedicated employee cannot be overstated. How will this play out for Vonage customers? Will customer support suffer? Will there be layoffs? Will there be any future R&D? In a recent article on Lightreading.com Author Iain Morris layed it all out. “Ericsson $6.2B Vonage takeover now looks like its worst deal ever An impairment charge of $1.1 billion, booked months after a $2.9 billion hit, means Vonage is now worth a third of what Ericsson paid for it two years ago” Ouch!!
