Trial Extension Offers can significantly increase conversion rates for #PLG #SaaS companies. A cohort of customers may cancel their trial upon realizing they won't have enough time to fully evaluate the product. However, many of these customers can be retained through a trial extension offer delivered via the cancellation flow. If you use trials as part of your product-led growth strategies, we recommend having a unique cancellation flow specifically for customers on trial. When a trialing customer chooses to cancel, they should be treated differently from a customer who has been paying for several months. The first step is to customize the cancellation survey response options for trial users. Make sure these response options align with the specific reasons why someone hasn't activated during their trial. If a Trial Extension Offer is accepted, it's beneficial to follow up with these customers using a targeted email sequence. This can guide them towards activation. #plg #saas #growth #retention

Time to Value (TTV) seems to be an overlooked metric for #PLG companies. If TTV for a user is long, the wait must be sufficiently rewarding, or a sales-led strategy might be necessary to convert the user into a customer. TTV can also be thought of as the time it takes for the user to reach the "aha moment". The goal isn't to deliver quick, low-quality value. It's crucial to set expectations during onboarding and deliver on your value promise promptly. Reducing TTV can result in increased user satisfaction and loyalty. It's not about rushing the process, but about delivering value efficiently and effectively. Each company will have a slightly different approach to tracking TTV, usually involving identifying the "aha moment" and the steps the user needs to take to reach it. Converting these steps into a funnel can help track TTV and compare it to conversion rates. When optimized, a shortened TTV can boost adoption rates, decrease customer churn, and enhance the overall user experience. It's about striking a balance between speed and quality to ensure users recognize and appreciate the value your product offers. #Product #growth #saas
