The flagship store will offer an extensive range of Rip Curl wetsuits and apparel, market-leading surfboards and surf hardware, beach essentials and park merchandise. The product assortment will also celebrate local Perth and Western Australian shapers and brands, in keeping with our vision to create a surf park that is by the West, for the West. Together, we’ll deliver unique events including surfing competitions, community activations, and demo days, develop recycled and sustainable products to help minimise our environmental impact, and support WA surfers, grassroots organisations, and charities. Opening in late 2026, the Perth Surf Park will feature a 56-module Wavegarden Cove offering perfect waves for all abilities, high-performance training facilities, and major sporting and cultural events – along with quality leisure, hospitality, and retail amenities. We are excited to announce our partnership with Surfing WA for the Perth Surf Park. Together, we aim to enhance the performance of WA's Olympic, World Surf League and junior athletes, support local boardriders clubs, surfing charities and grassroots initiatives, and drive increased participation in the sport. The partnership will also see us team up with our global high-performance partner MicroSurfAcademy and Surfing WA to develop market-leading programs and pathways for all levels. With all development and environmental approvals now received, construction on the Perth Surf Park is expected to commence later in 2024, ahead of first waves in 2026. We were proud to support MicroSurfAcademy’s recent community event with Cowaramup Bay Boardriders during the World Surf League Margaret River Pro. Hosted by WSL commentator Joe Turpel, Micro was joined by athletes Lakey Peterson, Rio Waida and Reef Heazlewood, alongside homegrown heroes Jacob Willcox and Felicity Palmateer. The focus was simple - stoke out the local groms, share stories, and offer some advice on surfing, competing, travelling and looking out for one another. For Micro, the most rewarding part of his job is connecting with the communities they visit along the World Tour, and inspiring local kids. Through surfing, they can connect with new people, build new relationships, and big dreams are born. This Friday, March 22nd, our Asia-Pacific team will proudly compete in the SurfAid Cup URBNSURF.   Team Aventuur, comprising Andrew Ross, Rupert Partridge, Adrian "Ace" Buchan, Paige Hareb, Kane Bennett and Luke Wyllie, are raising much-needed funds to provide healthcare, clean water, sanitation and improved nutrition in remote surfing communities.   A small donation of $100, $50 or even $20 can make a real difference to the lives of women and children in these communities.   We welcome any support you can provide, as our team aims to take home the Cup in 2024. Congratulations to Molly Picklum on a historic performance at the World Surf League Pipeline Pro. She placed 2nd in the event, scored her first perfect 10-point ride, and raised the bar for women’s surfing at Pipe alongside Caity Simmers and Bettylou Sakura Johnson. Molly has been working closely with our global high-performance partner MicroSurfAcademy on her journey from promising junior competitor to legitimate World Title contender (and Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024 Olympian).
