LinkedIn added a dedicated short form video feed (But right now it's just a test) Following in the footsteps of TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels, LinkedIn is apparently adding short videos to the site. While posting videos on LinkedIn is nothing new, this feature focuses on short videos that you can quickly scroll through. LinkedIn confirmed the test to TechCrunch last week. What you need to know (and what it means for you) - They’re only testing on some accounts  - The feed is full screen vertical content (like TikTok)  - LinkedIn will roll it out to all profiles if popular My thoughts (summarised): - We’re conditioned to consume video content now  - We’ve seen strong video performance even without this - It will be successful. Video will be a non-negotiable on here. Excited to see how this plays out! What are your thoughts?

Uhhh.. The endless loop is here too.. Anyone else see this coming? LinkedIn's testing vertical video feeds, just like Instagram Reels. I uninstalled Instagram for the endless scroll, but LinkedIn felt different - it was about reading , choosing what I learned. Now, these short videos are grabbing my attention! The good news?  Info seems to be getting better - experts sharing insights in bite-sized pieces. The not-so-good news?  It requires even more self-control to navigate! 📹📉 Video on LinkedIn has taken a nosedive. I've got a few theories why: 1) 📲LinkedIn does not like 9:16 Vertical videos. These were clearly made for Reels / TikToks / Shorts and not for LinkedIn so they don't push the reach. 2) 🏟️More creators - In the beginning there were very few people uploading to LinkedIn. When people realized the power of it, they came in droves. 3) 👩💻LinkedIn is often used at the office! This means people are watching your video on mute if at all. ✍🏼Ultimately, the text of your post seems to matter way more than the media itself. At least that is how it is looking for now. 📖 So, if you want your content to be successful, make sure you're putting just as much effort into the copy as you are into creating the video. #LinkedInTips #SocialMediaMarketing

Glad that my #LinkedIn network crossed 22k connections. I started posting for a year now and the reach is amazing. Areas to improve: - Write atleast one post daily - Post short videos - Keep the content short and engaging - Check for the trending - Send connection requests to people who follow me Let's grow together..!! #connection #network #linkedincommunity

RIP profile videos. Did you notice yesterday that LinkedIn was a bit 'glitchy'? Profiles not coming up, tags not working? It was probably because many of our profile videos were removed yesterday. LinkedIn announced quite awhile ago that the feature would no longer be supported but those of us who had profile videos would be able to keep ours. Then, a few months later announced they would be removing them entirely and sunsetting the feature. There was no reason given, but many of us have surmised that it was cost prohibitive to pay for millions of videos to be stored. How long your content lasts: (typically) Insta reels = 1-10 days Tiktoks = 1-10 days LinkedIn posts = 1-3 days Tweets = 1-3 days Youtube videos = 10 years+ Well-optimized Youtube videos will get you leads, even years after uploading them.
