James Suckling represents four decades of experience as a journalist and wine critic. He and his team are a prolific and well-known voice in the industry, focusing on the greatest wine regions of the world. Since the Oregon Wine Industry's conception, it has been competing on the global stage against the world's oldest and most renowned regions like Burgundy, France. We are honored that his team visited Oregon's Willamette Valley to taste and review Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines, further solidifying Oregon's status as a high-quality producer. After reviewing four Amaterra wines, his team crafted bold reviews that left lasting impressions. Pictured here is our 2021 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Carlton Hill Vineyard, which received 93 points: "Red currants, forest berries, herbs and warm spices on the nose. It's medium-bodied with bright acidity and a spicy life on the mid-palate. Juicy, silky, and playful, with a succulent, juicy finish with some white pepper character. Drink or hold." It's available on the Terroir of Pinot Noir flight as well as our tasting menu. Read on to read more about the other Amaterra wines on the list: 2021 Amaterra Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley: 91 poits.
