Role Summary

The Sr. Director of Strategy is an experienced strategy and project management leader who can bring in an outside-in perspective to lead the implementation of its innovative operations strategy to the Sungrid Business Development team. This position plays a key role as an execution-focused leader as well as an advisor who can support senior management to achieve its long-term business objectives. This highly analytical position requires a technically savvy person who is skilled with data to build operations reports and dashboard to effectively measure business health and improve performance.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities

• Own and lead strategic and operational planning discussions and partner with senior management to ensure decisions and execution plans are in line with long-term business objectives
• Drive alignment around forming a detailed business plan with clear goals and asks, executing and monitoring progress
• Establish strong plans and KPIs at a regional and market level, and specific to each team
• Lead operational reviews on business performance and priority progress (e.g. monthly/quarterly business reviews)
• Provide business analytics strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth
• Drive key leadership meetings and facilitate alignment on key issues and opportunities
• Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
• Strategic projects and initiatives
• Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for different EnFin teams, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization
• Operationalize top-down strategies, e.g. for new markets or products, product managing workstreams, orchestrating financial/data flow among various business systems, and holding team accountable on implementation timelines
• Drive operational excellence through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or improve processes
• Lead task force in root cause analysis of operations issues, identify turnaround opportunities, and drive recommendation through to completion
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Marketing, or related field.
• 10+ years experience in construction, preferably in renewables industry.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
• Experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management.
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to a range of stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
• Experience in leading and mentoring a team of sales professionals in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
• Strategic thinker with an ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
