Social Worker (Leave Replacement)

The Social Worker follows the same group of students through their tenure at Opportunity Charter School (OCS) and delivers mandatory student counseling services as written in students' IEPs. S/he also functions as a case manager for all students in his/her designated grade.

Service Provider

• Provide mandated counseling to individuals and groups, as well as mandated push-in services;
• Provide elective counseling and consultation for the assigned group of students/grade;
• Evaluate the need for individual students to be referred to social services, make the referrals, and complete follow-ups;
• Participate in annual, triennial, or other scheduled meetings;
• Maintain updated student records;

Planning

• Complete Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans as necessary;
• Coordinate any necessary contractual arrangements with social services agencies;
• Write all pertinent parts of the IEPs as related to students seen in counseling;
• Complete paperwork and assigned tasks in a timely manner;
• Participate in writing OCS's education plan.

General

• Meet regularly with the School Psychologist
• Work collaboratively with staff;
• Participate in and facilitate meetings when needed;
• Record contact with parents;
• Stay current with regulations, legal requirements, and funding streams for various social programs;
• Attend professional development.

Salary: $60,685.00 - $88,498.00 per year

License/Certification: Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (Required)
