Social Media Intern
Mayzon is the market leader in bath storage and organization products. Our products can be found online and in all major retail stores (such as Walmart, Target, Lowes and Home Depot) as well as Pro / MRO, Builders and Installer Businesses and Hospitality. We are looking for a Social Media Intern to join our Marketing team.
Mayzon is looking for a Social Media Intern to join our Marketing team.
This is a part-time remote position. 16 hours per week, ideally 4 hours a day from Monday through Thursday. The ideal Social Media Intern candidate is enthusiastic about home décor and organization and eager to gain practical experience in social media management for an industry-leading brand.
Core Competencies
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices (Instagram, Facebook TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn)
Strong writing and communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Understanding of social media metrics and analytics
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong photo and video editing skills a plus
Experience with Hootsuite or other social media management tools a plus
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and post new content across our social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
- Collaborate with our Marketing team to coordinate social media assets to align with planned campaigns and launches on our ecommerce platforms
- Craft engaging and compelling copy for social media posts consistent with our brand voice and messaging
- Identify and explore potential partnerships with influencers to expand our reach and brand awareness
- Collect and review social media analytics for monthly reporting
- Research and report on emerging social media trends in home décor and organization
This job description does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. The Social Media Intern will perform such other tasks as may be required for the effective operation of the Marketing & Consumer Experience Team upon the request by his/her supervisor.
Experience
No experience required. Past social media management experience preferred.
Education
Currently pursuing (or having attained) a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field from an accredited university.
