Property Accounting Manager

About the opportunity: The Accounting Manager oversees the management and oversight of the property accounting team, month end close, financial statement reviews, and audits for a specific portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Accountants
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and property management in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service and escalate as appropriate
• Perform audit liaison responsibilities for internal and external financial audits
• Ensure critical dates are met (taxes, insurance, debt payments, etc.)
• Effectively communicate team updates to Controller weekly
• Participate in the execution of strategic initiates such as Information Technology, Policies and Procedures, etc
• Use of detailed technical accounting skills to assess appropriateness of accounting treatment
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
• Property Management Accounting Experience Required.
• 4+ Years of Experience Required.
• Preferred Industry Specific Software: Yardi, RealPage/Onesite, Entrada, and/or MRI
