We are home to all different types of players – whether it be 10-year-olds to 95-year-olds, beginners or amateurs. It’s great to witness the growth amongst them." "I’ve been working at Alhambra Golf Course for about 7 years now and 5 years with Troon. I started off as a guest service attendant then gradually worked up to Assistant General Manager." When we asked Jasmine about what challenges her the most in her role she replied, "Truthfully, I’m a bit of a people-pleaser so the biggest challenge is making sure I stand my ground when needed. It was tough for me to adjust at first, especially because I was close in age with a lot of the staff that I was then managing." The Epson Tour announced today a new presenting sponsor for the season finale tournament, the Epson Tour Championship. Effective immediately, the tournament will be renamed to the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells Golf Resort. “We are thrilled to have the City of Indian Wells join the Epson Tour as a presenting sponsor of the Epson Tour Championship,” said Jody Brothers, Chief Business and Operating Officer of the Epson Tour. “Moving the Epson Tour Championship to Indian Wells, California and having the city’s support elevates the Tour’s efforts to put on a great season-ending event and send 15 of our athletes off to the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), fulfilling a lifelong dream.” The City of Indian Wells is no stranger to hosting big sporting events. In early March, the city hosts the BNP Paribas Open, one of the largest events of the year in tennis. The city of just over 5,000 residents welcomes over 493,000 spectators to their home to fill the stadiums at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Now, they will be hosting the biggest event on the Epson Tour schedule in early October as the last tournament of the 2024 season, the Epson Tour Championship will be played in Indian Wells. “The City of Indian Wells is happy to welcome the 2024 Epson Tour Championship to the Indian Wells Golf Resort,” said Indian Wells Mayor Greg Sanders. “It is an honor to have our community recognized as a premier golf and sporting event destination. Cobbs Creek Foundation is thrilled to announce that the 2024 Jordan Spieth Family Foundation (JSFF) grant will fully fund a 20,000 sq ft Junior Putting Green at the heart of our campus, designed to engage juniors in the game of golf. This putting green will be outside of the TGR Learning Lab and work hand in hand with their programming. Known as the historical home course of Charlie Sifford, CCF is intentionally focused on removing barriers to the game of golf through inclusion opportunities. Demonstrating a consciously kind approach, the team at Victoria Golf Resort - Sri Lanka recently celebrated Poson Poya, a major Buddhist festival in Sri Lanka with the associates and wider community. The Poson Dansala celebration coincided with June's full moon Poya day, a significant day for Buddhists across Sri Lanka.
