We’re looking for someone to join our team as an Account Director and deliver incredible results. Whether it’s traditional OOH, DOOH, programmatic or experiential, you’ll be working directly with clients at the forefront of a company dedicated to changing the OOH industry.


Summary

The OOH Account Director leads teams that delivers strategic planning, direction and maintaining and growing client relationships by performing the following duties:


Essential Duties

  • Manage and lead the strategy teams for multiple client projects simultaneously by spearheading client projects including project management, goals, expectations, deliverables and quality control.
  • Collaborate with assigned Business Director and Regional Director on new business opportunities.
  • Build, maintain and grow client relationships in accordance with organic growth initiatives.
  • Responsible for the development of employees including delegating, coaching and problem solving.
  • Ability to optimize media recommendations based upon Billups’ service offerings and capabilities including attribution reporting and apply learnings for future campaigns.


Job Duties

  • Manage and nurture organic growth with existing clients while always looking for strategic ways to leverage relationships and proactively bring new opportunities to the client and to Billups.
  • Identify opportunities to improve department, team and workflow processes.
  • Build relationships across all levels of the industry.
  • Provide concise and accurate direction of the media strategy, production, marketing, product, sciences and investment teams in order to deliver on client expectations.
  • Maintain and master an understanding of Billups planning and buying processes: RFP, media plan components, competitive analysis, media authorizations & contracting, production specifications and shipping recaps, posting instructions, monitoring of posting process, proof of performance.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of current and emerging OOH formats and consumer and media trends.
  • Collaborate with various Billups teams (HR, product, sciences, marketing, etc) by providing direct feedback or participating in one or more of the many internal improvement groups.
  • Embrace new Billups technologies and marketplace trends in order to strategically apply ideas to client business as well as to proactively construct new ideas and opportunities.
  • Lead all types of meetings including client, interdepartmental, intradepartmental and brainstorms.
  • Manage up to RD and/or MD level to escalate client issues or concerns.
  • Initiate and leads media supplier negotiations.
  • Maintain expert market knowledge and understanding of the OOH media landscape.
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism in all situations and set an example for others.
  • Participate in new business pitches, as needed.
  • Represent the Billups brand at industry functions, supplier meetings, and client meetings, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the specified region within the media team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in advertising, marketing or related media field with preferable background in OOH; 8 or more years of experience in media planning and development especially OOH background; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top

management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


Financial Competencies

  • Maintain accuracy across all necessary financial documents (plans, decks, media authorizations).
  • Maintain basic knowledge of the Billups billing process in order to avoid/resolve any discrepancies.
  • Work with RD and Investment team to drive the negotiation process across multiple markets and media supplier buys to maximize client budgets.
  • Work with RD to maintain accurate budget trackers and forecasting for assigned accounts, agencies and brands.


Billups has adopted a compensation strategy that allows us to be competitive in each market for which we hire. Thereby, salary ranges for each position are not only determined based on experience and knowledge base, but also regional labor markets. it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.


In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or equity.
