This position contributes to University Advancement initiatives by managing prospect development and research functions to maximize philanthropic potential and to deepen the engagement of, and investment from, alumni and other key constituencies.
Responsibilities
This position is tasked with ensuring quality data, analysis, and actionable insights to drive donor acquisition, retention and giving, and will work closely with the unit senior leader, Advancement staff, and members of the University’s senior leadership team, including trustees and other key volunteers, to advance departmental and institutional priorities. This position will partner with gift officers and actively and regularly engage with Deans, faculty, and other academic and administrative partners to identify new prospective donors, and acquire and provide information about current and potential funders, to continuously find and advance high value/inclination prospective donors and coordinate and develop fundraising strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Computer proficient; intermediate to advanced knowledge/skills in the use of current administrative software, (e.g., Microsoft Office), CRM/ERP databases/applications, and reporting tools, with a preference for experience in an Advancement software package such as Jenzabar Advancement, Blackbaud CRM or Raiser’s Edge, etc. Preferred minimum of five years previous experience in a fundraising environment; higher education preferred—especially in Advancement/Development/Alumni Programs. Understanding of fundraising practices and principles. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate in an intellectually rigorous and complex work environment.
