Manager, Member Engagement

TAG (the Trustworthy Accountability Group) – the leading global initiative fighting criminal activity and increasing trust in the $450B digital advertising industry – is seeking a dynamic self-starter to serve as a day-to-day resource and partner for TAG’s member companies.


Reporting to the Vice President of Membership and Operations, the Manager of Member Engagement is key to building and enhancing relationships across TAG's international member community. The successful candidate will employ a strategic and creative mindset to ensure strong member engagement, satisfaction, and retention – and partner with TAG leadership in the research and design of sales strategies to increase TAG membership.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $87,500 (USD), plus a potential performance-based bonus of up to 10% of base salary. TAG offers a highly competitive benefits package, and the position includes the opportunity to grow and expand responsibilities over time. Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the entire Membership Department to develop direct, personal relationships with all TAG member companies from their points of entry into the TAG Community and throughout their memberships.


  • Work with the entire Membership Department to meet member engagement and retention goals, consistent with the TAG's strategic plan and financial well-being.


  • Manage TAG’s new member onboarding process, serving as a partner and guide through the final steps to activating their membership, and building a meaningful relationship in the process.


  • Manage TAG’s ongoing member retention process, with the chief objective of ensuring that TAG’s members are aware of and receiving the full value of their corresponding membership benefits, through purposeful outreach and relationship building.


  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services, higher-tier memberships, and other value-added offerings to existing members, ensuring they are aware of and able to take full advantage of all available benefits.


  • Manage TAG’s annual processes to identify and support at-risk members, in coordination with members of the P&C and Membership departments, ensuring that effective retention and communication strategies are employed to strengthen those member experiences.


  • Manage TAG’s process for tracking and reporting new sales prospects on behalf of senior leadership.


  • Support Membership Department leadership by identifying high-potential member prospects in all geographic regions through market research and applying insight and instinct to profile companies for outreach and prospect dialog. Leverage both internal data bases and other sources of industry lists to create a high-potential prospect list.


  • Partner with Membership and other departments to identify new TAG content and initiatives that would be of value to current and prospective members.


  • Partner with Membership and Marketing Departments to create a standardized, templatized prospecting system that includes outreach emails, updated sales presentation materials as well as other marketing support materials.


  • Partner with Manager of Membership Sales & Operations to onboard new members, after a sale has been closed, by forming a rapport with them and ensuring they utilize the full value of their membership.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both virtually and in-person.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience. Advertising industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability and intent to learn and grow as the digital ad industry continues to evolve.
  • Ability to work seamlessly with team in remote locations is essential.
  • Highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities with strong administrative skills.
  • Can assume a wide range of responsibilities and effectively execute multi-faceted projects.
  • Comfortable interfacing with senior-level members and prospects.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Availability for limited travel, as needed.
