Director Project Management Office

Our Dallas based manufacturing client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic PMO Director to lead and oversee their Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO Director will be responsible for establishing and governing project lifecycle processes, ensuring SOX compliance, and adhering to public company requirements. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in project management, governance, and compliance in a public company setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Leadership and Management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and coordinators.
• Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.
• Project Lifecycle Governance:
• Establish, implement, and govern project management methodologies, standards, and processes.
• Develop and maintain project lifecycle documentation, including templates, tools, and guidelines.
• Ensure all projects adhere to established governance frameworks and best practices.
• SOX Compliance and Public Company Requirements:
• Ensure all projects comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and public company requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support SOX compliance audits.
• Develop and implement controls to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Portfolio Management:
• Oversee the organization’s project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and priorities.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, and resource allocation to optimize portfolio outcomes.
• Identify and mitigate risks across the project portfolio.

Job Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in establishing and governing project lifecycle processes in a public company setting.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and public company regulatory requirements.
