Director Project Management

BioTalent are excited to share a partnership with an innovative Biotech start up who are dedicated to improving human health. Together, we are searching for an Associate Director / Director of Scientific Project Management, reporting to the CSO, you will be responsible for planning upcoming projects, coordinating and tracking activities across projects, and contributing to the development of processes and systems for forecasting and execution across our portfolio of internal and external R&D efforts.

This position will be onsite in Manhattan, New York.

This role will offer you:

Opportunity to collaborate extensively with internal scientists and external partners to guide our efforts to develop ground-breaking therapeutics for patients.

You will be responsible for:

• Develop and manage detailed project plans and integrated timelines for projects that are medium to large in scope/complexity. These may include but are not limited to drug discovery efforts, corporate goals, external collaborations, and projects executed by external CROs
• Contribute to the development of processes and tools to enable planning and execution of projects
• Partner with Finance and Scientific teams to develop project budgets and track resource utilization (finance and people) across projects
• Play a critical role in engagement and follow-up for external sponsored research agreements and partnerships
• Responsible for creating collaborative partnerships and building and managing multiple project teams that may include external collaborators

You will bring the following:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biopharmaceutical sciences or similar life science discipline (PhD is preferred), along with significant biotechnology industry project management experience across drug research and development.
• Experience working across Drug Discovery and translational development.
• Experience with IND or BLA would be highly desirable.
• Project Management qualifications would be a plus.
