Responsibilities:


The FP&A Director will drive financial performance, by providing the insights and financial support needed across the organization to ensure decision-making across all levels of the business is focused on value creation. The FP&A Director will be responsible for the budgeting & forecasting process, business performance management, and long-range strategic planning and will oversee a strong accounting team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead Budgeting & Forecasting Process
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and strategic investment analyses across the organization.
  • Oversee and manage all core Budgeting & Forecasting processes, including monthly forecast revision cycles.
  • Operate as a trusted business partner to the organization, building strong relationships with key stakeholders to find opportunities to drive improvements in business performance.
  • Lead the presentation and review of financial results and forecast revisions with C-Suite executives and the broader leadership team.
  • Business Performance Management
  • Establish reporting requirements for various KPIs, weekly sales flashes, monthly performance management, variance analysis, and actual vs budget presentations for senior leadership.
  • Lead the Weekly Business Health review, updating the latest outlook on monthly performance, explaining the drivers of variances to plan, and working with business partners to propose corrective actions where needed.
  • Work closely with the Data & Analytics team to provide business insights driven by data, leveraging existing and new technologies to find opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Work closely with the Accounting team as part of the month-end close to ensure any material variances to forecast are identified and understood.
  • Strategic Planning
  • Support the C-Suite team with the development and build-out of financial & business plans, operating as a trusted advisor to shape and define future strategy.
  • Build financial models to allow for effective scenario planning and understanding of the financial impact of both short and long-term decisions.
  • Manage cashflow forecasting in partnership with the Accounting team, supporting modeling and analysis needed to ascertain future cash and funding requirements.


Other Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across departments to further iterate and improve the forecast collection and actuals review processes.
  • Creation of financial statements for external use as and when required.

Qualifications


  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or another related field is required
  • 10+ years of progressive financial management experience within the Consumer Goods or Beauty industry, with at least 4 years of experience in FP&A roles
  • Advanced Excel and Financial Modelling skills required, experience working with NetSuite a plus
  • Demonstrable experience in building, developing, and leading high-performing FP&A teams
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally and influence decision-making across all organizational levels
  • A highly motivated self-starter who takes a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems and actively finds opportunities to improve business performance
  • Ability to work and excel within a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
  • Ability to develop strong peer, cross-functional, and cross-business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness and to influence and drive change
