Position Overview
We're on the lookout for a talented Transaction Monitoring Team Lead to join our Compliance Operations team at [Company Name]. This role presents a unique opportunity for a motivated individual with a diverse skill set. As the Team Lead, you'll be instrumental in overseeing our day-to-day transaction monitoring and screening operations. Working collaboratively across departments, you'll identify, mitigate, and manage risks while adhering to relevant BSA/AML regulations and our internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough customer due diligence for corporate and individual clients, guiding them through the application process with care and expertise.
Implement ongoing transaction monitoring and Know Your Transaction reviews, including Enhanced Due Diligence assessments.
Document and investigate AML/fraud alerts, Negative News, PEP, and watchlist alerts, ensuring compliance with FinCEN/FFIEC expectations and [Company Name] procedures.
Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, product, and engineering teams to optimize our transaction monitoring and screening processes.
Stay abreast of changes in the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements, ensuring our practices remain current and effective.
Assist in developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures, promoting a culture of adherence and accountability.
Conduct quality control and quality assurance monitoring, taking remedial actions as necessary.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in compliance operations within a regulated financial institution or major financial services consulting firm.
3-6 years of experience working with BSA/AML, OFAC laws, and regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong communication and analytical skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and resourceful problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in blockchain analytics (e.g., TRM, Chainalysis) and cryptocurrency transaction monitoring is advantageous.
CAMS certification is preferred but not required.
